Bang your head against the wall

Something good might happen!

What’s wrong with you all?

Insensitive, greedy, power-mongering groups
So you are working tirelessly to make a perfect world? You give our time generously so that this planet can be become a wonderful place to live in. You worry about the environment and do what you can to make things better.
How frustrating for you. Exactly how do you intend changing the monstrous conglomerations that rule this world? How do you intend convincing secret governments and greedy corporations that they should be sensible and see it your way?
You are like a single rowboat trying to change the course of a gigantic container ship by shouting at it. You are like a child who has built a sandcastle on the edge of the sea and is desperately trying to save it as the tide comes in. You are wasting your time.
This world is ruled by insensitive, greedy, power-mongering groups who would enslave all of us. It’s nothing new, it has been that way for eons. There has always been the ruthless rulers and their unfair treatment of the masses. It is not going to change.
Most people are not nice. Most people are not honorable and honest. When one leader topples, there will always be another waiting to take is place. The best you can hope for is to make your own little world honest, sincere and comfortable. Mind your own business and do what you can for those you want to spend your life with.
The world is pretty to look at, but it has very sharp teeth and no conscience!

- Change is consistent, natural and unpredictable.
- Inconsistency is necessary for survival – e.g. you cannot be honest or dishonest all of the time.
- The laws of society are not moral, they are rules. I must live within these rules or risk my freedom.
- Whenever humans form groups, they form unjust hierarchies.
- Society is intolerant to non-conformist behaviour.
- Governments put money before people.
- Money gives flexibility and choice.
- Beauty is attractive to humans.
- Confinement is repulsive to humans.
- There is no proof of the past. All I have for certain is what is here now.
- Memory is unreliable.
- The future only exists in the imagination.
- Time is inconsistent.
- My way of viewing the world is unique.
- I will die.

- Physical laws of the universe are consistent only on the human scale of things
- Nature does not express compassion or favoritism
- Every living thing has to make an effort to survive the constant onslaught of nature
- Everything is born to die
- The physical world is infinite – it cannot be measured
- Nature is cyclic
- There are other realities – dreams, visions experiences beyond the physical – these are not measurable or consistent or even interpretable.
- There are other senses beyond mine
- The interpretation of situations depends on me and my attitude
- The clarity of my mind depends on the health of my body
- I have little control over the varying circumstances of my life
- My beliefs vary with circumstances
- My senses create reality
- I am trapped within my own personality
- Humans need personality validation – I must be heard or seen etc.
To be continued……

It was a mistake to come to this planet.
I mean, I woke up one morning and felt that something was wrong, something big. At first i felt quite unnerved as if I was under threat. After a while, I realised what it was. Something has gone wrong and I’ve ended up on the wrong planet. I don’t belong here.
Listen, how many of you out there are sincere, reliable and honest people? Lots of you! I can hear you from this side of the internet. Well, good honest folks, how many times have you noticed that sincere, reliable and honest people don’t usually attract the kind of luck that sneaky, shady and dubious people seem to have.
Perhaps you always thought that luck played a big role in life on this planet… wrong! It’s all about sharp teeth and stealth. You can win the Lotto tomorrow, but if you aren’t careful, a whole hoard of money-hungry bad guys will sneakily transfer every dollar from your bank into their pockets. You are never safe on this Death Star.
Who controls the wealth of this world? The good guys or those others? The answer is obvious. Cunning, devious personalities seem to win every time. And what happens to the honest folks? They get trampled-upon and ripped-off, all the way to the slave market.
So from daily observation and historical evidence, it appears that the rough and tough rule, while the meek mutter, (they have no power to do anything else). If you are one of the nice people, then it’s not surprising that you aren’t also, one of the lucky people.
When you think about it, it is a death planet. Before humanity subdued it and turned it into a shopping mall, it used to be survival of the fittest, fastest and smartest. Beast would eat beast, everything would eat anything and the winners only survived until something better than them arrived to gobble them up. Every living thing was under the constant threat of being consumed.
Even humans kill to survive. We kill 12 squillion chickens a day, 45 trugllion cows and an uncountable number of harmless hamburgers. This is the way of life on this world. Kill to live. No wonder the strong and heartless rule over the gentle and considerate, we’re simply another meal, immediate gratification for their endless appetite.
So what am I doing here on this nasty, death-driven world? I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that I followed my wife and that it was her idea to come here. ‘Just to have a look around’. She likes to travel. Well next time I’ll not be such a pushover, I’m definitely not coming back!
Anyway, that’s what I think. Well, I think I think that! It’s probably just another of my unrealistic, imaginative fantasies, though I doubt it.

Fanatics knocking on my door
- When a fanatic knocks on your door to thrust religious beliefs upon you, liberally apply a dose of ‘I really don’t give a damn’ and watch their frustration. How can they convert someone who just doesn’t care?
- When a friendly partner loses her cool (not that you did anything wrong), try acting as if ‘I really don’t give a damn’. It is definitely an excellent form of damage control. All of the ridiculously emotional things you might have said disappear into a veil of vagueness. Leaving you safe after the storm has passed.
- If you are in a meeting and the bullies are getting the best of you, relax into your best pose of ‘I really don’t give a damn’. Let it show and watch them give up on you. Everybody knows that nothing is ever resolved at a meeting, so you have nothing to lose.
