Who’s in charge around here?
It was a sad day yesterday when I realised that every group, every corporation, every government, every family is only an expression of the sum of its members.
I am part of my family, I am not a separate part, I am an integral part. My existence effects the whole of this group. Every group you belong to is effected by your membership.
I thought about this when I saw a local government employee who looked like he had given up to gravity and he was only motivated by the need to get paid. I looked at him and thought, ‘he is just like the business that he is working for’ – it is not interested in anything but its own being.
When you look at any club, school or business you can see it’s character by it’s members. Oh dear! What a disappointment. Humanity on mass is not a pretty sight and I believe that scientists are still waiting for humanity to show the first signs of intelligence.

Stop behaving, act like an idiot!
One of the things that most good-intentioned adults teach their children is… the importance of being sensible. Well.. sometimes you need to smash your sensible adult attitudes so that you can let the idiot in you, take control for a while.
Stop behaving and start creating!
Being sensible is usually guided by what you should do, not what you want to do! This is a terrible restriction and puts a wet blanket over all of your creative projects. Creativity needs to be expressed in an open field, not a toilet cubicle. If you have to, lock your door and pull down the blind so that you can behave like an idiot in private.
At first it seems difficult to break some of the restrictions that you were taught as a child. However, practice makes perfect, start misbehaving a few times and before long you will get very good at it.
Throw paint at the canvas. Scribble all over your paper, knit outrageous statements in your sweaters. Be the idiot that you always dreamed of being. Become the envy of sensible, polite society as they watch your creativity soar to new levels.
Stop being responsible and learn to behave like a lunatic in front of your creative project. Step out onto a limb and let yourself go! Who knows you might be a natural at it.

I imagine I am important

Bang your head against the wall

Something good might happen!

What’s wrong with you all?

Insensitive, greedy, power-mongering groups
So you are working tirelessly to make a perfect world? You give our time generously so that this planet can be become a wonderful place to live in. You worry about the environment and do what you can to make things better.
How frustrating for you. Exactly how do you intend changing the monstrous conglomerations that rule this world? How do you intend convincing secret governments and greedy corporations that they should be sensible and see it your way?
You are like a single rowboat trying to change the course of a gigantic container ship by shouting at it. You are like a child who has built a sandcastle on the edge of the sea and is desperately trying to save it as the tide comes in. You are wasting your time.
This world is ruled by insensitive, greedy, power-mongering groups who would enslave all of us. It’s nothing new, it has been that way for eons. There has always been the ruthless rulers and their unfair treatment of the masses. It is not going to change.
Most people are not nice. Most people are not honorable and honest. When one leader topples, there will always be another waiting to take is place. The best you can hope for is to make your own little world honest, sincere and comfortable. Mind your own business and do what you can for those you want to spend your life with.
The world is pretty to look at, but it has very sharp teeth and no conscience!

- Change is consistent, natural and unpredictable.
- Inconsistency is necessary for survival – e.g. you cannot be honest or dishonest all of the time.
- The laws of society are not moral, they are rules. I must live within these rules or risk my freedom.
- Whenever humans form groups, they form unjust hierarchies.
- Society is intolerant to non-conformist behaviour.
- Governments put money before people.
- Money gives flexibility and choice.
- Beauty is attractive to humans.
- Confinement is repulsive to humans.
- There is no proof of the past. All I have for certain is what is here now.
- Memory is unreliable.
- The future only exists in the imagination.
- Time is inconsistent.
- My way of viewing the world is unique.
- I will die.

- Physical laws of the universe are consistent only on the human scale of things
- Nature does not express compassion or favoritism
- Every living thing has to make an effort to survive the constant onslaught of nature
- Everything is born to die
- The physical world is infinite – it cannot be measured
- Nature is cyclic
- There are other realities – dreams, visions experiences beyond the physical – these are not measurable or consistent or even interpretable.
- There are other senses beyond mine
- The interpretation of situations depends on me and my attitude
- The clarity of my mind depends on the health of my body
- I have little control over the varying circumstances of my life
- My beliefs vary with circumstances
- My senses create reality
- I am trapped within my own personality
- Humans need personality validation – I must be heard or seen etc.
To be continued……
