Read all about the Man!
Last Century, Colin graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. He is still not sure why or how he did it, but it happened. He spent most of this career in the Australian Mining Industry.
During his spare time, he consistently practiced drawing and painting, dreaming of the day he could leave the corporate world and create his own world. He had trouble playing the ‘pretending to be busy’ type of game that was required in heavy industry.
Circumstances twisted, as they do for everyone, and eventually, he became a full time portrait artist. Initially he did serious portraits, but soon changed to cartoon portraits, still realistic, but drawn very quickly. In time he learned to draw with 2 hands at once. Some called him ambidextrous, but he claimed it wasn’t true and that he was a straight guy and happily married.
He drew over 75,000 portraits in Australia, England and USA, most of these with his eyes open.
Currently he is a renowned seascape artist. He has sold over 3000 paintings. Colin has exhibited in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and New York. His work hangs in private collections in over 25 countries (and at home because his wife steals some of them).
Colin has been married for lots and lots of years and his wife, Lina is always his inspiration. Please do not send her any sympathy notes!
